| SEO company Google looking to join the legions of SEO companies It's been reported that Google is considering starting their own SEO company. This, if true, would be potentially massive news for the SEO industry. Serena Shapero over at Newswire has stated that Google intend to get their SEO business off the ground by early May. Allegedly, Google's SEO team would consist of about 100 employees, clients could be charged up to $25,000 a month and Google will have a team of SEO robots* to deal with poor rankings. Allegedly, Google will promise only ethical practices but how many giant corporations play nice? If Google does jump into the SEO pool they will have a monopoly of the SEO industry and it will be nowhere near as fun as the game. Small SEO businesses will surely be put out of business and probably some medium sized ones too. Will the SEO companies just take their business to Yahoo and Bing? Unlikely, seeing as how popular Google is with the general public. You can't handle the truth! Okay, so enough of the scare mongering, is it likely to happen? SEO has been around for a while; if Google was going to do it surely it would have by now. Also, Google offers a lot of information to users so they can produce sites with high quality SEO, surely they wouldn't bother if they had ever considered becoming an . Some highly regarded colleagues of mine (and one I'm indifferent to) offered their take on the report. "Where's the proof?" was retorted to the Newswire article. I've had a quick look on Google's blog and if they were going to start a business in early May wouldn't there be (at least) a bit of advertising? Another colleague said "this would just be like buying space in Adwords only you pay $25,000 for it instead of a few pounds per click". So, will Google be starting an SEO company? Don't hold your breath (that's just good advice for most situations). By the way, if you're interested, the state of Oregon is incorporating Google Apps into the education system. *Quite probably not true. |

For many people, the idea of going on dates and meeting new people after a certain age or amount of life experience is a somewhat daunting task. This demographic is just one of the targeted groups that an online Dating Site is looking to impress upon. These folks might be divorced and entering the singles scene after a long time of being away from it, and sometimes they need a little extra incentive to get the hang of it all again.
Dating Sites operate in the interest of not only making some money and starting a successful business, but also in the interest of helping shy people get past some of their reservations. Although not everyone who uses a website to meet potential soul mates is a shy person, some of the people who are using such websites are looking for a buffer zone between themselves and the people they will meet. In order to not let this buffer zone destroy one's chances of actually meeting someone special, an online Dating Site has got to be used to its fullest potential.

| PSD to HTML or CSS Conversion Market 2010
The PSD-to-HTML/CSS conversion market is growing very fast now. It is appropriate to analyze changes in the design-to-HTML field that happened during the past year: what is new in 2010, what tendencies have a positive or negative impact on customers. PSD-to-HTML/CSS Market - Changes and Growth Definitely the PSD-to-HTML/CSS conversion market has become more mature. The number of companies that offer PSD-to-HTML and other kinds of image-to-markup conversion has increased up to 230+ [1]. PSD-to-HTML providers are located in the USA (28%), India (15%), UK (6%), Romania (4%), Australia (3%), Canada (2%), Ukraine (1%) and more than 30 other countries. Along with a group of relatively large providers there is a number of small companies, start-ups and freelancers who offer PSD-to-xHTML/CSS conversion in different price segments and with various options. Companies which specialize in narrow niches such as PSD-to-WordPress, PSD-to-Drupal, PSD-to-Joomla, etc. have also grown. On the whole, the past year indicated more intense rivalry in the market. Good news for the PSD-to-HTML clients here - stronger competition encourages better quality of the produced code and higher level of customer service. A market-specific production model has crystallized. The main promises given by the market are A) Fast, B) W3C-validated and C) Cost-effective PSD-to-HTML conversion. This means that the provider should have a seasoned client service department which works in a very close marriage with production. HTML/CSS coders involved should be good trained, know the latest web-industry standards and be able to work quickly and flawlessly. Strong project management and reliable testing and QA complete the image of an effective PSD-to-HTML company. PSD-to-HTML conversion services proved to be a trustworthy assistant for designers. The most flexible cooperation model is when the designer is familiar with at least the basics of xHTML/CSS and can make minor "last minute" changes and tuning in a markup (such as "move this 2px left", "make that word written in bold", etc.). Last but not least: in Google the number of search results for requests with core market keywords has increased in several times that also indicates a growing popularity and maturity. The problem of choice The reverse side of a strong supply is the problem of choice. To some extent it can be considered as one of the negative aspects of the modern PSD-to-HTML/CSS market because sometimes to select a provider takes much more time than to convert a design into xHTML/CSS code. Conclusion Summarizing the results of the last year, it is worth pointing out the following. 1. The PSD-to-HTML/XHTML/CSS market has become more mature and is now characterized by more balanced supply (different price segments, market sub-specialization), higher grade of competition, higher average level of quality and customer service. 2. PSD-to-HTML conversion providers have reaffirmed their right to be considered as an effective member of division of labor in the web development industry and found their niche in a regular cooperation with web-design studios and web development companies as well as in case of short-term periods of designer's job overflow. 3. The PSD-to-HTML conversion services have demonstrated their ability to be of good assistance both in traditional website development and in coding templates for open source CMS (content management systems) and blog platforms such as WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, etc. 4. The PSD-to-HTML companies have supported proliferation of the latest Web standards and website cross-browserability - and consequently helped to make the Internet more unified, accessible, and easy to search. At the same time the PSD-to-HTML/CSS conversion market is still on a relatively active phase of its development and new exciting changes may be expected in the nearest future. |
