Requirements
Education or Experience
All applicants must have EITHER a high school education or its equivalent, defined in the United States as the successful completion of a 12-year course of elementary and secondary education; OR two years of work experience within the past five years in an occupation requiring at least two years of training or experience to perform. For more detailed information see the State Department information on the DV program.
Native Countries
You or your spouse must be native from a country that is eligible to participate in the Diversity Visa Lottery. You may also be eligible to apply if both your parents were born in a country that is eligible to participate. (Before each year's lottery the State Department will publish the names of the countries that will be permitted to participate.)
